What Smoke Air Purifier Will Give You The Cleanest Room?

A smoke air purifier is one that you should use any time that you want to clean up smoke or other nasty odors that you don't want present in your home anymore.

A number of different technologies are available for anyone who is looking to clean their home from the effects of smoke and other odors, some of these technologies being better than others. When you are looking for a smoke air purifier, however, you are going to want to find the model which will be best suited for the particular odors and contaminates that you want to get rid of.

To understand how to best do this, you should first take the steps to understand what exactly comprises the odors in the air that you want to eliminate.

Typically, they are made up of chemicals and other gases. These gases make organic compounds that end up comprising the smells that you are experiencing. In order to get rid of these smells, you will need to take steps to break down these organic compounds founds in the chemicals and gases in the air.

What Technology Will Help Fight Odors?

Typically, most air purifiers will use carbon and charcoal filters to help fight the presence of odors in your home. This is because both carbon and charcoal have very absorbent qualities which work toward fighting the organic compounds, breaking them down, and absorbing any of the remaining molecules present in the air.

When you have a carbon or a charcoal filter with your air purifier, you are getting one of the most popular methods of fighting these chemical and gas compounds in the air.

Most types of air purifier will have either an activated carbon or a charcoal filter as part of its operation. Typically, these filters are considered to be an optional part of the air purifier and if you no longer want to use them, you do not have to include them as a part of your purifier. Few filters are designed to primarily be an odor fighter.

Other common forms of fighting gases and odors will come in the form of zeolite filters. This is actually a naturally occuring compound of a volcanic nature. This has a very high level of activity and it can easily work to breakdown those organic compounds as well, helping to absorb and destroy those odors in your air.

An air purifier cigarette smoke eliminator could also make use of the presence of ozone. Ozone is actually one of the strongest types of air purification as it will work on sterilizing all of the air in its presence.

Many hospitals will actually make use of ozone to help clean their rooms and make them as pure as possible.

Ozone is technically a charged oxygen particle. This charged particle works on destroying all of the contaminates in the air and it is the most effective form of destroying cigarette smoke, odor, and chemical presence in the air.

The only problem with using ozone, however, is that at high levels it can actually be dangerous by creating aggravation and inflammation in the lungs.

Therefore, if you are using an air purifier with an ozone presence, you will want to make sure that you are not constantly running it. It will be best only at sporadic times or when you have a particular room that needs attention. Using the ozone purifier after this could actually be harmful to your health and is not recommended.

Do Other Technologies Work?

In the case of chemicals and certain forms of gas, like the toxins that are located in cigarette smoke, other filters may work to help absorb these elements.

HEPA filters, in particular, may be able to hold enough of a presence that they could work on capturing these elements in the air.

The problem with a HEPA filter and removing scent and odor, however, comes in the form of actually removing this odor. While the HEPA filter could make the harmful elements in the air disappear, the odor will still be present.

Therefore, it is generally recommended that you find an air purifier that contains an element of either carbon, charcoal, or zeolite.

If you are looking to have an air purifier that you can constantly run, an ozone air purifier is not recommended. The smoke air purifier of this nature could end up being harmful to your health due to the prolonged exposure of ozone.

What Should You Look For In A Smoke Air Purifier?

Both carbon and charcoal filters are effective in helping eliminate the presence of smoke in your home. It may naturally take some time for the odor to be completely removed from your environment, but as the air passes through the purifier time and time again, the presence of the odor will quickly begin to diminish.

Zeolite can be just as effective.

Ozone will work well at removing the presence of odor in your home, although you are going to need to be careful about running this air purifier constantly. As discussed, the health risks are not worth the trouble.

If you plan on purifying and sterilizing a room on occasion, this may be a good option. Otherwise, you should stick to a purifier that you can run with a higher frequency.

A smoke air purifier can be an important presence to make sure that your home smells fresh and is a suitable environment to be in.

By examining these different types of filters, you should be able to get a better idea of what will work for you and what will not.

By finding the area of odor control that works with the other forms of air purification that you are attracted to, you should be able to find the perfect smoke air purifier for your needs.
