IQ Air Air Purifier

(California, USA)

I own an IQ Air air purifier. We've had it for about 4 years and use it to help clean the air in a room athat is about 350 sq ft.

The unit is on all the time, 24 hours a day seven days a week. My wife has asthma and pet allergies so we keep it running constantly.

It has definitely helped keep down the pet dander and pollen count. It works pretty well for large rooms. The annual cost is not very much probably comparable to a light being on.

It is fairly simple to operate and easy to know when it needs a filter change. It has a light that goes off to tell you when to change the filters.

My complaints would be that the filters are a little pricey and the original cost of the unit is expensive as well. It can be a little noisy, but not too bad. As far as filter changes, they can be a little tricky too.

I did own an air purifier before this one, it was the tall thin one from Sharper image. If I had to compare the two units against each other, the IQ Air air purifier is a far superior product.

There is a distinct difference in the quality of the air. The IQ air can handle a far bigger room. It does seem though that the more you change the filters the looser the unit becomes and the noisier it is. As the unit becomes loose it gives off a slight hum or vibrating sound.
